FAQ

Only the contract holder and an additional driver (depending on the contracted conditions) can drive the vehicle.

The minimum age to drive a rental car is 18 years old, hence you have a driving licence.

The minimum rental period is 1 day. Any fraction of the day, either at the beginning or at the end of the rental, is considered a full day.

In the event of an accident, you must:

• Remain calm and call the competent authorities to report of the occurrence.

• Contact 2RENT immediately and explain what happened.

• Follow the authorities’ instructions and deliver all documentation related to the accident (DAAA and report) at the corresponding station. If you do not report the occurrence of the accident at the time of its occurrence, this action may result in the driver being held responsible for not knowing the facts of the occurrence.

In the event of a breakdown or problem with the vehicle, you must:

• Signal the stop with the triangle and wear the reflective vest.

• Contact 2RENT immediately so that the necessary measures are taken, namely the replacement of the broken-down vehicle.

No. All the vehicles present in our fleet only require the license of Light Passengers (Category B).

You must present the following physical documents when picking up the vehicle:

– Valid passport or physical identification card (ID or CC);

– Valid physical driving licence (digital documents will not be accepted);

– Reservation voucher;

– Physical credit card in the main drivers name (with sufficient funds available to cover the amount of the deposit to be blocked during the hire period. The credit card must be physical, so no pre-paid, rechargeable or virtual cards will be accepted).

This procedure is subject to the availability of the station and only works if the request is made in advance, which always needs to be confirmed by 2Rent. For returns outside the station’s opening hours it will be applied a fee of €35.40.

Yes. Check that the condition of the vehicle corresponds to the report drawn up by the 2Rent employee. If you find any defects that are not listed, contact the rental desk to update the contract. We recommend you to take photographs of the defect(s) and keep them until the end of the rental period.

When you pick up your car, feel free to ask our staff for further information on how the vehicle’s controls work.

Yes. While booking the vehicle you will be presented with a list of extras and additional cover that you can select.

In addition, when you pick up the car at the station, you can purchase other extras and/or additional cover at the counter that were not included in the original booking request.

If any of this equipment is lost, damaged or stolen, you will have to pay a replacement fee. Please note: counter staff are not trained to install the child booster seat (nor are they allowed to). You will have to do this by yourself.

A minimum time period of 1 hour is established between the act of renting the vehicle and its use.

Payments via website: While making a reservation through our website you can choose between the following payment methods: Credit Card, Mbway and Multibanco Reference.

Over-the-counter payments: Counter staff can only accept the following credit cards for the deposit: MasterCard and Visa (you need to present a physical card – prepaid, rechargeable and virtual cards are not accepted).

Please note that reservation made through the website will only be confirmed once the payment has been validated (total amount including extras and additional cover).
