Covers
When you hire a car, it includes Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL).
Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL)
Covers the driver's civil liability for any injuries and material damage caused to third parties by a motor vehicle accident, depending on the policy. It therefore does not cover any injuries to the driver or damage to the vehicle. This cover is valid if you fulfil all the terms and conditions stipulated in the rental agreement.
Mileage / Kilometers
The mileage of the rental is calculated according to the rate chosen. In this case it is unlimited.
It is the sole responsibility of the renter:
- To provide the necessary documentation to the police in case of theft, damage to the vehicle or accident involving another person.
- To take care of any personal belongings left inside the vehicle during the term of the contract. The company is not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of the belongings. Any damage caused to the belongings will be the sole responsibility of the renter.
- To take care of the vehicle's components or other items in it included, such as jacks, aerials, signalling triangles, safety waistcoats, windscreen wipers, fuel tank covers, luggage covers, etc. Any damage caused to these will be the sole responsibility of the renter.
If you want to add extras to your rental, you can request them while booking your reservation or at our counter (subject to availability). Those extras are charged daily, up to a maximum of 10 days (for items such as GPS/Neverlost, Child Seat, Booster Seat, Additional Driver, WIFI Equipment, etc.). You can also add extra insurances to your booking, such as Super Deductible Reduction (SCDW), Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Windscreen Damage Waiver (WDW), Tyre Protection, Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), Complementary Roadside Assistance Service (PERS) and Theft, Fire or Acts of Vandalism Protection (TP).
Any fines incurred during the hire period or other road-related charges are the responsibility of the hirer, who is solely liable for the payment of fines, penalties, tolls or any offences committed during the hire period. For the administrative handling of each offence or non-payment of tolls and/or parking charges, the rental company will charge a surcharge of €20.00, plus VAT.
If you return the vehicle outside the station hours, you will be charged an out-of-hours fee of 35.40€.
The excess stipulated for the rented vehicle is not included in the rental price. It varies according to the segment hired.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and/or Theft, Fire or Vandalism Protection (TP), as standard, may not be included.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
By accepting the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Clause, you will be liable to pay for the damage caused to the vehicle up to the minimum excess amount. However, even if the renter has subscribed to the CDW Clause, he is always liable to pay for damages resulting of any accidents occurred in situations involving intent or serious negligence such as driving under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or any other substances affecting his capacity for reaction as well as in case of serious breaches of the Highway Code and supplementary legislation in force. It does not cover parts of the car other than the car's body (such as windows, wheels, interior, roof or chassis) or other costs such as towing, off-road assistance or items inside the vehicle (such as baby seats, GPS devices or personal belongings). This cover is valid if you fulfil all the terms and conditions stipulated in the rental agreement.
Theft, Fire or Acts of Vandalism Protection (TP)
By accepting the Protection against Theft, Fire or Acts of Vandalism Clause (TP), you will be liable to pay for the damage caused to the vehicle up to the minimum excess amount. Even if the Renter has subscribed to the TP Clause, he is always liable for damages resulting from situations involving the misuse or misappropriation of the vehicle, its usage by an unauthorized additional driver and whenever the Renter acts with intent or serious negligence, such as leaving the vehicle with the key in the ignition and/or the doors or windows open. We recommend to not left the personal belongings exposed inside the car, as it encourages acts of theft or vandalism.
In order to pick up the vehicle, you must present the following documents:
Identification document / passport; valid driving licence in the driver's name (digital driving licences will not be accepted); physical credit card in the driver's name (with sufficient available funds to cover the amount of the excess to be blocked during the rental period. The credit card must be physical, so we will not accept pre-paid, rechargeable or virtual cards).
It is the driver's responsibility to find out what documentation they need before driving in another country (they may need a visa and/or international driving licence).
The company is not responsible for any fees charged by your bank for international transactions. The credit card must be activated for international transactions and payments abroad. You will need to know the card's PIN to pre-authorise the blocking of the excess.
Flight number indication
Although it is optional, we strongly advise our customers to indicate their flight number, if applicable.
If it is not provided, in the event of a flight delay we will not be held responsible if your vehicle is not available for pick-up after the stipulated time.
In the event of a flight delay, please contact us by telephone during office hours.
